Past events:

At group of approximately 10 HLRC vehicles joined a weekend outing organized by the Hill Country Rovers to Marble Falls over the first weekend of October. The event was very well organized and the members in attendance were pleased with the event and the food that was served.

New events:

Sergio and family will be making their annual trip to Big Bend over Thanksgiving and has invited any member of the HLRC that is interested to join them. They will leave early Thanksgiving morning and return Sunday night. Due to the shortage of gas stations and fresh water, Sergio recommends each vehicle carry at least 5 to 10 gallons of fresh water and a jerry can filled with gasoline. A base camp will be set up and day trips will commence from the base camp each day.

Donnie talked about the Houston Marathon that occurs each January. He and Elizabeth are responsible for miles 20 – 25 of the Marathon track that go through Memorial Park. He would love for the members of the HLRC to help out on mile 21. The duties include making sure the track does not have any debris that could trip up the runners and making sure mile 21 is safe for the runners. He will have more details within the next month.

Texas 4-Wheel Drive group has organized a trip to Gilmer for the weekend of October 23rd. If you have additional questions regarding the Gilmer trip, please contact Renee Marin.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
