Obviously, the committee will contact any person nominated, in order to confirm their willingness to stand. We have only one condition on the nominations: it has been our custom to limit nominations for the post of President from existing or past committee members, in order that that person has the advantage of some experience in the running of the club. Traditionally in the Club, the outgoing Vice President assumes the position of President.

Please forward your proposals (for any of the above positions) to the President,
e-mail: Steve McDonald.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: What is the AGM?
A: The AGM is the Annual General Meeting. It is basically the club's year end
blowout party and annual election for the Board Of Directors

Q: Why is it held in November?
A: Due to so much going on in Dec. because of the holidays, we have our AGM in
Nov. We don't have a regular meeting in Nov. as the AGM takes it's place, but
continue our regular meeting in Dec. with the newly elected officers.

Q: Can I bring my family?
A: Yes, the whole family is invited to attend. However, keep in mind that this
is still a meeting and can be quite boring for some members of the family
(children). Baby sitters are very popular around AGM time.

Q: What time does it start?
A: The official meeting will start at 7:30. It's strongly advised to get there
early and take advantage of the socializing and delicious food being catered.

Q: Where?
A: Renaissance Hotel, Greenway Plaza. (Map)

Q: How long will the meeting last?
A: The meeting has lasted until as much as 10:00 or 11:00 pm in the past. It's
hard to tell how long it will really last. But we will try to make things as
smooth and quick as possible so that we can go on and socialize the night away.
There will be introductions, followed by elections, a slide show, and tons of
door prizes to give away, all taking up time of their own.

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: The attire of choice is buisiness casual.

Q: My truck is not stock.... Where do I Park?
A: Plese use the FREE Valet service. DO NOT PARK YOUR RIG IN THE GARAGE!

Q: I've heard about some prizes, who is eligable to win?
A: There are several levels of prizes being given out. EVERYONE (current paid up
member) is eligable to enter the raffle. We'll be raffling off an Engel 45
Freezer Fridge https://www.expeditionexchange.com/engel/ for only $20.00 per
ticket. So, save up your money and buy lots of tickets. I borrowed one of these
for our trip to Colorado, and I loved it. It is by far the best thing ever
invented since the Land Rover. Everyone (current paid up member) is also
eligable to win the first level of door prizes. There is also an Acedemy GC raffle. Tickets are $10.00 at the door. The next level of door prizes (aka big prizes) is reserved for those members that have shown a dedicated interest in the club and our sponsors. Anyone that has attended at least two work related events in the past year (rebuilding together, Adopt-A-Highway cleanup, dealer event, fund raisers, etc.) is eligable for the big prizes.
