2005 Monthly Meeting at Jax

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. at Jax.
Steve McDonald reported that feedback from the dealer
event held in Columbus was very positive. Although
the customers could not take their trucks on the trails,
they had a good time. The general manager was very
pleased. Because the customers could not drive their
own trucks, they will be invited to participate in
the next dealer event.
Sergio Sosa announced that Sam Shirley is working
closely with Lance Sloan to create an up-to-date membership
roster. People who are not members will no longer have
access to the HLRC Yahoo group e-mail. Steve announced
that members will have to show their membership cards
in order to continue to receive club member discounts
at the dealer. Sam reported that the club has 113 active
members.
Sergio reported that Eric Pacior has a friend who
is willing to teach a class in first aid. This course
will not be a certified first aid course, but can teach
basic techniques.
Melissa Burns announced the following upcoming events:
March 13, 2005 -- Spring Day in Kemah;
March 25 – 27, 2005 – Hot Springs, Arkansas;
April 2, 2005 – Trash pickup kickoff;
April 15 – 17, 2005 – BMRA work weekend; and
May 13 – 15, 2005 – SCARR.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
